Networking Equipment

Network hardware usually refers to equipment facilitating the use of a computer network. Typically, this includes routers, switches, hubs, gateways, access points, network interface cards, network cable, network bridges, modems, ISDN adapters, firewalls and other hardware relacionados.

The most common type of network hardware today are Ethernet adapters, helped largely by its inclusion as standard on most modern computer systems. The wireless network has become increasingly popular, however, especially for portable devices.

Other materials that are prevalent in computer networks are the data center equipment (such as file servers, database servers and storage areas), network services (such as DNS, DHCP, email, etc.) and other specific network devices, such as delivery of content.

Other devices that may be considered different network hardware including phones, PDAs and even coffee modernas. As technology grows and IP-based networks are integrated into the infrastructure construction and appliances, network hardware becomes an expression ambiguous due to the increasing number of network-capable terminals.
