Manufacturing is the use of machines, tools and labor to produce goods for use or sale. The terminology can refer to different activities from craft to high tech, but is primarily used in industrial production, where raw materials are transformed into end products.
The finished products can for example be used for the manufacture of other products more complex goods such as airplanes or vehicles. They can also be sold to wholesalers who then sell them to retailers, which in turn sells the goods to end users.
